To Eleanor, Sarah, Simon, and family... For 19 years I've had the joy and privilege of living across the street. Every Christmas I would see Steve outside putting up his beautiful "Jesus Is The Reason for the Season" sign on the house, and then get a visit and gift from both Christmas Eve. Also, will miss the visits when we would all be outside and chat as neighbours. Heaven just became richer when Steve arrived. To those left behind, may the Lord Bless you and give you comfort in your time of grieving.

We remember Steve and Eleanor from their years at Calvary Community Church as their children grew up with ours. We give our condolences to the family and we are happy that we have reconnected with Sarah in our young women's group.

My husband and I met Steve and Eleanor at Ellerslie Baptist Church. We soon discovered several things in common - the guys’ love for trains, our enjoyment of canoeing, and the value of a good joke. We canoed down the North Saskatchewan from Edmonton to Fort Saskatchewan . We enjoyed being guests in their home and Steve’s welcoming ways made for a great time together. Each Sunday, we enjoyed his sense of humour and it’s true that he always left people smiling. Thanks for extending the hand of friendship, Steve. Eleanor, you have our deepest sympathies.

We enjoyed being in small group together with you both as a couple and have many many fun and happy times. Steve always liked to joke and we will always enjoy our bible studies memories as they were fun and encouraging! He will always hold a special spot in our hearts as a good friend and a godly man. We will miss you but look forward to seeing you in heaven.

I have wonderful memories of Steve as a canoe partner, especially on the paddle for compassion trips and also one trip on the Athabasca River from Berlin River to Whitecourt. Praying for you Eleanor.

I had the pleasure of working with Steve at Edmonton Public Schools for the duration of his employment. In addition to his tremendous talent as a Sign Painter, who handpainted signs and murals in our schools, he was "the train guy". From conversations with him, it was obvious that he loved collecting train-related items, riding and working with trains and he enjoyed showing us videos of his own train set that ran through walls from room to room in the basement of his home. He took enormous pride in his work and he will be missed. Seeing the photo of him riding the train epitomizes a hobby that he truly enjoyed!

I have great fond Memories of my great uncle Steve as a young Lad. Always making a kid feel like a kid should! Family dinners and Gatherings were always a honor to look forward to. May you relax in paradise Uncle Steve forever and ever, you will be dearly missed and forever remembered Look over the Family and keep them all safe. LOVE YOU BUDDY!!!
